The soda game is definitely being reinvented and we love that. The days of only finding refined sugar options at the soda fountain is coming to end while more and more brands are using different sweeteners, and even toning down the sweetness, of these bubbly drinks. We find one of the most simple uses of our sugar alternative is in a sparkling beverage. The uniqueness of Grape Nectar is easily demonstrated by adding a little bubbly water and perhaps some citrus to our natural sweetener.

And who doesn't want to cut down there sugar intake? There is more sugar in a ginger beer than in your typical can of coke, so it is important to watch out for even the most "natural" soda option. CALIFORNIAN SODA (makes a 12 oz soda)

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Bored-O Rouge Grape Nectar
  • 4 oz club soda or sparkling water
  • Squeeze of 1 fresh lime wedge 
  •  

    Preparation

    1. Add all components to a mixing glass with plenty of ice. Stir thoroughly to combine. Strain into a tall glass with crushed ice.
    2. Garnish with fresh flowers, lavender sprig, or lime wheel.

      

    SASSY SODA (makes a 12 oz soda)

    Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz All-Sass Grape Nectar
  • 0.5 oz almond or coconut creamer
  • 4 oz club soda or sparkling water
  •  

    Preparation

    1. Add grape nectar and creamer to a shaker tin with plenty of ice. Shake vigorously to combine.
    2. Add soda water and stir to combine. Strain into a tall glass with crushed ice.
    3. Garnish with fresh flowers, rosemary sprig, or lemon wheel.

    Californian Soda: 16 grams of sugar per serving

    Sassy Soda: Only 8 grams of sugar per serving!
