The soda game is definitely being reinvented and we love that. The days of only finding refined sugar options at the soda fountain is coming to end while more and more brands are using different sweeteners, and even toning down the sweetness, of these bubbly drinks. We find one of the most simple uses of our sugar alternative is in a sparkling beverage. The uniqueness of Grape Nectar is easily demonstrated by adding a little bubbly water and perhaps some citrus to our natural sweetener.

And who doesn't want to cut down there sugar intake? There is more sugar in a ginger beer than in your typical can of coke, so it is important to watch out for even the most "natural" soda option. The best solution: make your soda yourself. With only three natural, plant-based ingredients in our soda concoctions, you probably can make one of these recipes right now (of course as long as you have our grape sugar available in your kitchen).

Grape Nectar obviously has you covered with reducing sugar intake. Our sugar alternative delivers only 8-16 grams of grape sugar per soda (depending on which variety you are making), which is far less than the 39 grams of sugar you find in coke and a much more natural source than the chemical ridden aspartame found in diet coke. Plus, our sodas are absolutely delicious!!

The "Italian Soda" variation calls for our most popular blend of Grape Nectar: our cabernet-based Bored-O Rouge. The rich berry notes are balanced out by the bright acidity of lime and create such stimulation for the palate. Some like it a little less sweet, so we encourage you to try making this soda to fit your palate by adding a little less of our Grape Nectar if needed. The dark and seductive color doesn't look bad either! We love the reaction of market-goers the first time they try this soda, because it is far from average with our sugar alternative!

The "French Soda" is classified by the addition of cream, and we kept it plant-based by using an almond creamer. The richness of the creamer combined with the bright floral character of our riesling-based All-Sass Grape Nectar is quite harmonious. Reminiscent of an orange creamsicle, this soda is as refreshing as it is unique.

And don't forget the show! If you find us at an event or farmer's market in San Diego, we will be whipping up your soda in the style of a cocktail bar. We finish it with fresh flowers and paper straw (no plastic here). A sight to see for all ages and the perfect beverage to compliment a beautiful San Diego afternoon. Come try one out this weekend or make one for yourself. Either way, you will definitely #DrinkBetter
