Pumpkin Spice French Toast

BLEND USED: Bored-O Blanc California Grape Nectar

Tasting attributes: Bored-O Blanc relieves french bread of its dry consistency while leaving you feeling light and without a sugar crash!

What’s the best way to welcome the morning cold weather...French Toast! As winds chill and snow flurries approach, pumpkin spice everything is just around the corner (if not already here… check the Starbucks menu). So of course we had to shed new light on the classic and test out a new recipe full of fall flavors. That's right, Pumpkin Spice French Toast using the one and only Bored-O Blanc Grape Nectar. Talk about #NOTYOURAVERAGE french toast, this one is worth every bite.

This breakfast is not only delicious, it takes just one bowl and one pan to prepare. Pleasing hungry kids, brunch enthusiasts, and heath foodies, our sugar alternative makes this dish even sweeter than traditional french toast from the sugars of earth's delicate wine grapes. Simply dip your favorite french loaf or brioche bread into a mixture of cinnamon, pumpkin spice, eggs, almond milk, Grape Nectar, and pumpkin puree. Let sizzle for a couple minutes before flipping onto the other side. Now don’t be surprised if the whole house wakes up to the intense smell of sweet Bored-O Blanc. Make sure to set aside a piece of toast for yourself before friends and family come running to eat it all!

To serve, we like to top thick slices of this dreamy french toast with extra Bored-O Blanc natural sweetener and cinnamon. But if your looking to make this dish even sweeter and more refreshing, slices of strawberries and whipped cream are the perfect solution. By using Grape Nectar instead of the usual maple syrup, sugar content reduces by about a third so you can spare yourself a “sugar crash” after indulging in this special treat. Keeping your blood sugar even, Grape Nectar makes this dish a yummy, but also a hearty breakfast. The grape sugar pulls together flavors of pumpkin and cinnamon to create a warming breakfast sure to soothe your soul.

Pumpkin spice may be most popular in the fall, but we like to #WAKEUP to this Pumpkin Spice French Toast anytime during the year!
