BLEND USED: Bored-O Rouge California Grape Nectar

Tasting Attributes: Bored-O Rouge adds a lingering finish of dark berry and currant that compliments the zinfandel barrel rested gin

Why have a basic French 75 when you can have the Pink variation? The subtle hue of the Benham's Gin combined with a touch of our wine grape sugar brings new life to the classic cocktail. The beautiful pinkish fuchsia color gives the illusion of sweetness, but once this cocktail hits the palate, it is a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The layers of the cocktail reveal themselves as you continue to sip on it. The perfect way to start the Valentine's celebration.

We can't get enough of Benham's Barrel Rested Gin that sits in zinfandel barrels and has a slightly brick red hue. It's spicy notes are unexpectedly pleasant and pair perfectly with our Bored-O Rouge sweetener. So many fun elements of wine grapes in this cocktail, including a delicious sparkling rosé topper, yet very far from ordinary.

Although we typically our white blends when concocting gin cocktails, the Bored-O Rouge was the definite pairing with the barrel rested gin. This blend of our sugar alternative complimented the oak elements of the gin perfectly. Wine not use a sugar alternative made from cabernet, merlot, and malbec wine grapes when using a barrel aged gin?!

As holds true to the holiday, we recommend finishing this sparkling creation with a fresh rose or rose petals. Fragrant, refreshing, and festive - a guaranteed way to #DrinkBetter this Valentine's!
