BLEND USED: Bored-O Blanc California Grape Nectar

Tasting attributes: Compliments the spice from the chai and sweetens the charcoal with stone fruit hints from Bored-O Blanc Grape Nectar

With chai and pumpkin season upon us we know how much people love these fall flavors. We wanted to create a warm cozy drink that also provides some health benefits. This is why we decided on adding charcoal and grape nectar to the mix. Both of these ingredients cut down on the typical unhealthy nature of a chai latte.

Chai is a powerful spice on it's own. Many chai mixtures you find unfortunately are packed with sugar, so we advise against buying store bought chai mixes, if possible. If you make your own pure chai, add grape nectar as a sugar alternative. After your make you chai latte, mix in the charcoal. Charcoal naturally does not have a strong flavor so don't worry about it tainting the chai taste. A little bit of charcoal also goes a long way, so even the smallest bit provides full detoxifying benefits. Not to mention it makes it makes your latte a spooky grey color.

It is easy to crave sugary latte and coffee drinks, especially with all of the options that are out there. We encourage you to use grape nectar to sweeten your coffee drinks instead. This is a low sugar, low carb, and low glycemic option that also adds more dimension to your drinks then other sweeteners ever could. This sugar alternative beautifully adds bright fruity notes to the spicy chai in this latte. Using Bored-O Blanc adds the subtle sweetness this latte calls for, where as we found Bored-O Rouge and All-Sass to slightly overpower the chai notes.

This latte is cozy, spicy, detoxifying, and just sweet enough! It is the perfect latte to get you in the Halloween mood and help you #DrinkBetter!
