Tea can be quite ritualistic from choosing a preferred type to brewing to time of day enjoyed to frequency of consumption. While we are avid coffee lovers (especially when hopping out of bed and right to work), we find ourselves reaching for that comforting cup of tea to wind down in the late afternoon or evening. It only makes sense we would want to marry our newfound love of tea with our love of grape nectar. However you fancy your tea, we hope you can also enjoy this unique matrimony.

The founder, Amy, has been growing San Diego’s tea scene for the past year as well as gracefully offering her abundant knowledge on the art of tea and tea blending at Sunday tea parties (which we of course love attending)! Although we do enjoy the clean nature of a plain cup of Paru Tea and have had many of their blends sans sweetener or milk, we do love trying out our alternative sweeteners in tea. We have tried many combinations of teas and nectars, but we find our cabernet based blend to have the most interesting effect on the floral-hinted Jasmine tea blend. We typically use our All-Sass Riesling blend as a sugar alternative (or vegan honey substitute) for most teas, since it has a light honey and citrus essence. But in this scenario, the Bored-O Rouge not only deepens the pigment of the tea, but also adds a richer, more luscious mouthfeel. Finished off perfectly with some foamy almond milk to make this day or night beverage perfectly satisfying.

JASMINE TEA LATTE RECIPE
- 1 jasmine tea bag
- Hot water
- 1 tsp Bored-O Rouge Grape Nectar
- 2-3 oz unsweetened almond milk
- Pour hot water over tea bag in a small saucer. Steep tea and remove bag. Add grape nectar & stir to combine.
- Froth milk; pour over tea & spoon the remained foamy milk over the latte. Enjoy!
